After the fire
We find our ourselves in the strangest of places.
As part of a preparation for a big trip later in the year, I joined two two beautiful women on their journey through the wilderness.
I did not expect to create the work I did. I went into it with an idea of what I was going to make but those ideas became more distant with each fall, leg tremble and each hour that passed as we crawled through the relentless wilderness of the South Coast of Tasmania.
I do not remember most of the walk. There was endless pain, moments of lightness and letting go. I remember the very distinct smell of the soil and dark tannin stained waters.
